The heat transfer process in the regenerator is researched in this paper, with the dome combustion hot blast stove configured in Jingtangā€™s 5,500-m3 blast furnace. Heat transfer theory is discussed, and the heat transfer process in the regenerator checkers is analyzed in particular. The two-dimensional model for heat transfer and calculation under different-shaped checkers is established. The results of the study show that proper reduction of the channel diameter of the checkers can promote the heat transfer efficiency of the regenerator and enhance the blast temperature. The number and diameter of the checkers' channels are determined through synthetic consideration.
