Within the innovations that ENERGIRON is introducing, thanks to the continuous development of its direct reduction technology, the latest projects feature a reactor’s bypass circuit, which provides smoother operation and faster recovery time during unexpected upset conditions. During any solid material flow disruption, the system allows for the process gas flow to be recirculated into the reduction circuit without passing through the reactor, keeping normal operating process parameters. This finally result in less REMET production, faster recovery time and preservation of thermal equipment, thanks to the fact that all the hot equipment in the reduction circuit will remain at the normal operating temperature, avoiding any disruption or thermal stress.
