This session will discuss a unique team approach that separates out areas of clinical expertise to meet the complex needs of pediatric patients. Ways to leverage the use of EMR to alert the team of patients in need of WOC nursing care and the rationale for these alerts will be presented as well.
Growth and development issues that affect the approach to pediatric WOC nursing care and medical/nursing interventions to manage tolerance of dressing changes will be presented. Case studies will be used to demonstrate how to use wound care products in pediatric patients.
