The science of the WOC Nursing specialty is constantly evolving and practitioners must stay informed of advances. Medical Adhesive Related Skin Injuries (MARSI), Moisture Associated Skin Damage (MASD) and Friction are three phenomena that bedside clinicians observe regularly. A thorough understanding leads to improved identification, treatment for improved outcomes and will ultimately impact preventive care.
