Keeping skin safe from healthcare acquired skin injury remains an ongoing challenge for clinicians with multiple complex and interrelated factors contributing to compromised skin integrity. In this presentation, we will explore the Skin Safety Model, a novel conceptual framework that integrates the numerous factors that can contribute to a skin damage and guides the clinician in maintaining skin integrity in the vulnerable patient. An exciting new technology for skin protection, 3M™ Cavilon™ Advanced Skin Protectant will be discussed. Clinical experts will present their experience using this novel, practice changing product.
