Sometimes, despite standard care, wounds need an extra boost to heal. A clinician may be challenged by the multitude of tools available, and what may be most appropriate in a given situation. This session will review adjunctive modalities, their indications, and their mechanisms of action. Current evidence will be presented which supports the use or non-use of these agents. Some “old standbys” should be retired from practice, while other tools are currently underutilized in clinical practice.
