This presentation offers a simple formula for providing study strategy assistance to students that can be adapted to fit a wide variety of scenarios, from a brief conversation of a few minutes to an hour-long, one-on-one session. While learning specialists are typically tasked with the challenge of teaching study strategies to at-risk students, advisors and other academic support professionals often find themselves in a position to offer similar advice, particularly within smaller programs with few or no designated learning specialists.
