While we might agree that “all money is green,” athletics departments are not immune to the pitfalls of functional silos and our inclination may be toward focusing on revenue opportunities in “our area.” To combat this tendency and develop a more concerted effort toward revenue generation, the leadership of our external teams have formed a working group that has developed new synergies, strengthened working relationships and led to new opportunities for collaboration within the department.
