Operations during continuous casting — including lancing in case of metal cork, ladle shroud positioning, ladle shroud cleaning (oxygen shower), T&S lance for sampling and measurement, and powder distribution — can be automated thanks to a multi-tool robotic solution controlled by an operator via CCTV in a totally safe work environment Results include a whole cycle time reduction and process optimization. The system is equipped with a dispenser storage tool and can also manage the tundish powder dosing and distribution.
