Tracks: Maintenance & Reliability

The rubber in compression coupling has been in existence for more than 60 years. The fail-safe design of the maintenance-free coupling reduces TVAs and vibration in the drive train (reports at various steel mills have been performed and verified) and requires no lubrication. This maintenance-friendly coupling can replace gear and grid couplings in most steel mill applications. Applications include but are not limited to runout table drives, motor-to-gearbox connections on main mill drives, crane drives and wire rod blocks. The cost savings vs. gear coupling are significant.
