Risk perception can have a significant impact on safety behaviors in a workplace. Interactive safety training lets workers experience virtual risks in a safe training environment. This project combines 360° videos with virtual reality to create a realistic and immersive interactive training experience. A library of 360° videos was created involving mobile equipment inspection and hazards. The videos were then combined with interactive menus and other elements to provide a new tool for safety training. Technical development and practical concerns are discussed.
