Experimental Research on Effect of Unburned Pulverized Coal on Coke Gasification Performance in Blast Furnace (Room 403)

Coke gasification by carbon dioxide in the presence of unburned coal particles (UCP) has been investigated using a self-made, high-temperature gasification reactor with precision balance. Experiments have been conducted under different temperatures. Coke strength after reaction has been evaluated by a pressure test machine. The results show that, with the increase of experimental temperature, coke strength becomes higher compared to results without UCP. Besides, the weight loss rate of coke in the presence of UCP is obviously slower than that of coke without UCP. The reactivity of coke with CO2 is higher than that of coke with UCP at the same temperature.
