In this study, the UNS S32205 duplex stainless steel (DSS) was submitted to usual thermomechanical industrial processing, and a comparison with warm rolling at 600°C followed by air-cooling was also processed, both with 80% thickness reduction. The research intends to carry out a detailed study of the microstructure, texture and mechanical behavior changes after the warm rolling when compared to usual processing. The warm work raised the mechanical strength level of 72%. This result points out prospects for innovative routes in the industrial production of this class of DSS, such as cold rolling suppression, considering even ductility reduction.
