Diagnostics, Optimization and Mathematical Models of Coke-Sinter-Hot Metal Production Process (Room 404)

The hierarchy of mathematical models and subsystems to control blast furnace operation are described and results of their application for blast furnaces of NLMK, CherMK, Tulachermet, Azovstal, Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works and Zaporozhstal in Russia and Ukraine are presented and discussed. The algorithm of coke–sinter-hot metal production cost through process is developed and applied. The rules of thumb from technological instructions of various iron and steel works are generalized and utilized in the developed value-in-use model and dynamic control system. Techno-economic benefits of the developed models, algorithms and systems utilization for optimization, planning and control modes are presented.
