A Holistic Approach to Ironmaking Digitalization (Room 405)

The objective of holistic ironmaking technologies is to achieve the global optimum for all ironmaking processes rather than the individual optima for each plant. In one example, standardized rules-based decision-making optimizes the coordination of ironmaking plants. Another example offers plant performance supervision, monitoring the interactions and interdependencies of product quality parameters and process setpoints. The system provides KPI dashboards, statistical process control, and quality/performance rules. The system also suggests optimized setpoints for all related automation systems. The interaction of these overall systems with local process optimization offers an increased degree of transparency and standardization — closer to the optimal operation of ironmaking.
