Homogeneous product temperature is paramount for wire rod producers to achieve the desired metallurgical and mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, ductility and the microstructure of the finished product. Russula has streamlined the conventional water box design to not only achieve strict cooling requirements and a homogeneous temperature profile but to also lower operating costs and increase production uptime. The design features quick guide change-outs, a water and air stripper configuration that increases cooling efficiency and a stainless-steel nozzle design that lowers water consumption.
