SMS Mevac’s CMS processes the cyclic data of an augmented set of field transmitters and gives advice to maintenance personnel in case of deteriorating pump performance. The current system‘s behavior is compared with the result of models trained under normal conditions to tell if currently vacuum pump and sub-systems down to the measuring device behave differently than normal. Advice to the maintenance is derived from a logical combination of specific model results. SMS Mevac’s CMS - developed in cooperation with a German steelmaking plant - combines modern data-driven and traditional methods.
