Some mills use HVAC systems to try and keep critical spaces (MCC rooms/Transformer vaults/etc) clean and conditioned. This is a very costly method and doesn’t work. Most mills are replacing HVAC Panel Filters on a daily to weekly basis. The cost associated with replacing HVAC filters consists of the filter itself, manpower to change the filter, down time, and the disposal costs. Multiply those items by the frequency of changing these filters and it is eye opening how much money we are wasting. This presentation will cover what room pressurization is and how its optimizing mill maintenance and increasing uptime.
