In this symposium, attendees will learn about the difference between augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), recent advances in the AR/VR platforms, artificial intelligence (AI) platforms including Alexa and Google Home, technological limitations and future advances.

 

Upon completion of this session, participants should gain strategies to:

 
  • Distinguish the basic difference between AR and VR;
  • Recognize current VR and AR platforms;
  • Identify recent advances in AI platforms;
  • Be familiar with the current limitations of present technologies;
  • Appreciate future directions of the technology.
