Let’s be honest, flirting is hard enough without worrying that every word you say might be misinterpreted as aggressive, gross, aloof, or harmful. This goes for women and men. We will discuss some of the harmful messages both men and women have been taught about communicating interest both verbally and non-verbally. We’ll have an interactive and lively conversation about: how we often don’t say what we want and how it hurts everyone; how certain behaviors lead some to be wildly misinterpreted; how to set healthy boundaries that don’t leave you feeling like a prison guard; how to flirt with purpose and respect; and how to handle rejection gracefully. Using research from actual Mensa ladies and gentlemen, volunteers will do fun roleplays around do’s and don’ts and discuss how to be honest while still being cool. Bring an open mind and heart. Remember, flirting can be fun!
