Most of the aesthetical-medical treatments of skin involve heating up of dermal and subdermal tissues. To increase the efficacy of the treatments, while maintaining patient safety and comfort, temperature control of the skin is essential. Syneron-Candela’s Velashape platform is the first to integrate real-time non-contact skin temperature measurement. Skin temperature measurements are important in many industries and attendees will discuss how skin temperature measurements are used to derive body temperatures of 0,1C accurate – very useful in epedemics like the Ebola outbreak. Aesthetical-medical treatments involve lasers, intense light flashes and radiofrequency pulses that can interfere with temperature measurements. Syneron-Candela manages to overcome all these problems and assure accurate readings. Many IR sensors are susceptible to ambient temperature changes. In aesthetical equipment, the ambient temperature varies dramatically. Good thermal management and ambient temperature compensation still allows for accurate measurements.R&D milestones are often not met because of enormous technical challenges and attendees will learn how the joint R&D effort of supplier and customer resulted in a breakthrough innovation in a record time.
