Magnetic powering of sensor ASICs requires novel design methods. Class-E converters can provide wireless power and data, and specialized design methodologies are needed to implement efficient converters. Power-conversion and data-communications with wireless sensor ASICs require methods of on-chip rectification and data modulation/demodulation. This session describes system/hardware design methods and performance. Attendees will discover how to design system architectures for magnetic wireless sensor systems, how to use design techniques for rapid Class-E converter development, and how to configure ASIC wireless interfaces for power conversion and data communication in magnetically powered wireless sensor systems.
