This session will explore the opportunities and constraints associated with new hydropower development and their nexus with achieving the goal of doubling U.S. hydropower capacity. This topic will be approached from an implementation perspective, and practitioners from the strategic planning, development, markets, financing and policy arenas will weigh in to discuss what is working and what is needed to meet our capacity goal. Session participants will be invited to contribute to developing industry recommendations for the Hydropower Vision initiative.
