Fun Bar: Challenging Bartenders to Push the Envelope (Room N115)

Explore the cutting edge of bar concepts with a primary focus on creating a fun atmosphere. Fun Bar is meant to push the envelope and challenge both bartenders and patrons to question what is the ideal environment for a bar or restaurant to capture people's attention and at the same time remind everyone that a bar can present itself in any number of ways. Ulysses and Jon present abstract ideas consisting of themes such as Pre-historic Tiki where punches are served in volcanoes or Mini Bar where the cocktails, tools and glassware are in miniature form. The duo will also encourage participants to put together their own version of Fun Bar using a variety of ideas they may have had but never thought could be executed. It's important to emphasize that this project is meant to be a form of self-expression through interactive installations while still focusing on the business aspects of running a bar.
