Historically, private practitioners rely on personal relationships to drive referrals—other professionals, recommendations from previous clients, and so forth. But they tend to ignore the possibility of referrals using the Internet or are bewildered as to how to secure them beyond simply having a website. This session introduces a “counselor-friendly” relational conceptual model of technology use, with practical tips to implement search engine optimization to generate referrals and drive revenue.
