This session will introduce the Continuum of Conflict and Control Relationship Scale (CCC-RS) as a new measure for counselors’ use in screening couples for Intimate Partner Violence. The CCC-RS aims to discriminate among types of partner violence and aid in determining treatment safety. In addition to the supporting literature, the presenters will briefly discuss the methods used to develop the CCC-RS and will focus primarily on implications for implementing the assessment in clinical practice.
