This session will address strategies for infusing a CACREP program accreditation requirement into states’ licensure laws. Counselors who have engaged in these professional advocacy efforts will discuss their experiences, and they will suggest ways that counselors can advocate for similar changes in their states. Those interested in developing the knowledge and skills needed to help change their states’ licensure laws will benefit from this session.
