What do you do when your values conflict with those held by clients? Based on professional literature, clinical experience, and qualitative research results, the presenters will review how practicing counselors become aware of values conflicts with clients and the strategies they use to resolve them. Through an interactive discussion, attendees will identify ways to navigate challenging values-laden ethical dilemmas and critically evaluate strategies in relation to the ACA Code of Ethics and models of ethical decision making.
