ACA divisions, regions, branches, and members of ACA communities nationwide participated in a year-long effort to promote professional advocacy for counselors and an anti-bullying/interpersonal violence campaign. The anti-bullying/interpersonal violence effort reports on prevention, intervention, and research. The professional advocacy initiative addresses efforts to inform the public, legislators, and others on the profession of counseling. Both initiatives were aligned with ACA President Thelma Duffey’s Counselors Coming Together initiative. In this town hall meeting, participating ACA members, task force members, and representatives from divisions, regions, and branches will discuss their good works and outline future directions for both initiatives.
