Racial microaggressions have received increased attention throughout the past decade. Previous data focus on ways in which people of color cope with these offenses, but little evidence provides insight on how individuals can ameliorate the relationships with those who were offended. This session will focus on using relational-cultural theory as a framework for conceptualizing and working through disconnections resulting from racial microaggressions in counseling, supervisory, and academic relationships.
