Sexuality is a central aspect of human experience throughout the lifespan, which involves sexual/gender identities and roles, pleasure, safety, intimacy, and reproduction and is influenced by the interaction of biopsychosocial, political, cultural, legal, and spiritual factors. Drawing from queer feminism and extant research, the presenter will discuss training and competency standards of multiculturally responsive sexuality counseling and consider implications for counselors, educators, and supervisors.
