Arrival in a new country involves many adjustments and is a challenging experience for many immigrants and refugees. Despite the call for advocacy and culture-centered responsive services, this population remains underserved. The presenters will share lessons learned from implementing a 3-year partnership providing mental health education for a refugee resettlement agency. Implications for addressing acculturative stress, facilitating adaptive coping, and fostering community will be discussed.
