Exemplary leadership is an element of professional identity. Leaders in the field take on multiple roles that influence professional identity, which may include (a) mentor, (b) supervisor, (c) teacher, and (d) scholar. Each role consists of numerous methods that promote the development of professional competencies. However, managing time and self between roles can be difficult. Therefore, this session outlines strategies for success and how to monitor role expectations.
