This poster session will outline the importance of mentorship and how a Chi Sigma Iota chapter developed an effective program, “Mentorship without Borders,” that allowed for counselors-in-training to pair with professional counselors in the field to foster a more realistic professional identity. Their data indicate that the mentorship process was helpful and the counselors-in-training level of professional identity increased. Ethical considerations regarding the mentorship process also will be presented.
