While conventional and nuclear power plants are switched off (last nuclears in Germany 2022) and the extension of the transmission grid is delayed several years there is a high demand of handling overproduction of regeneratives. This happens de facto by high costs and overflowing the grid. At the other side there is a high demand with high gradients at the "dark Doldrums. High capacitiy, quick to erase and economic available storage capacitiies are needed. One solution might be the utilisation of intelligent combination of compressors and generators of flexible operated gasturbines. The key: power to gas production and re-electrification while beeing able to stabilise the grid 24/365. The author shows political and economical motivated aspects as well as regulative and technical requirements and solutions using exisiting or soon available components.
