Former U.S. Attorneys Tim Purdon and Brendan Johnson will provide an inside view on how the Department of Justice shaped its policies toward cannabis in Indian Country and how those policies are being implemented today. They will also discuss the legal developments that followed DOJ’s announcement of its cannabis policy for Indian Country, including a discussion of cases involving their clients Alex White Plume and the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin and their efforts in support of the Seneca Commission for Economic Development.
