Tracks: Future of EdTech Educator

During this session, I will be sharing my successful journey piloting a MakerSpace into the elementary school library. I will focus on both technology based items that are in many schools, such as robotic kits, 3-D printers, Osmos, Littlebits, etc. - as well as some"old-school" technology like GIANT Legos, Straw Connectors, and Tinker Toys. I will share my easy organization steps that have allowed my students kindergarten thru fifth grade to be fully engaged in our MakerSpace from day one. I will share how I funded my MakerSpace to bring the items to my students. I will proudly show pictures and videos from our daily activities and share ideas that librarians can take back to their library and begin a successful maker area immediately that their entire school will embrace.
