STEM education is critical to success in the digital age as both an educational imperative and an economic necessity. Teachers and kids can be amazingly innovative if left to their own creative devices. Join us as participants will: create a team; define the problem; search patent websites; utilize critical thinking skills; collaborate to solve the problem; build your budget; present your findings to the board of directors; and build formative assessments. Understand how a key ingredient in this culture can be a patenting system that students use to research existing patents and solve real-world problems. The workshop is challenge-based and one in which participants must work together to solve problems.
