$W059 | Magic and Mayhem: Classroom Lessons From Our Childhood Innovators (Room SOUTH 330C)

The core of learning is wonder, and great teachers ignite wonder in many ways, crafting experiences and inspiring stories that students will return to long after they have graduated and have children (and students) of their own. Join two of those former kids as we examine the work of some of our favorite childhood innovators and attempt to understand what is at the heart of their art. In this highly interactive (and sometimes messy) workshop, participants will collaborate to imagine and design learning experiences inspired by the likes of Walt Disney, Jim Henson, George Lucas, Fred Rogers, J.K. Rowling, and Dr. Seuss.
