Tracks: Future of EdTech Administrator

Today’s school principal must be both an instructional leader and a digital evangelist, initiating and nurturing new modes of learning. As research indicates, effective leadership is the key to successful digital learning implementations. But why are some principals more successful than others? In this session, we will examine the characteristics of the “new digital principal” using groundbreaking data from the Speak Up Research Project, which annually polls over 2,500 principals nationwide. Using a tool developed for this session, participants will assess their own leadership capacity in a digital learning environment and gain access to a new report on the findings. This session provides new insights for defining effective digital learning leadership in our schools.
