C096 | Construct Authentic Learning in Your STEAM Classroom (Room NORTH 220E)

Are you looking for ways to create compelling and relevant STEAM projects? Do you want to engage students with critical thinking skills? See how students in the Palm Beach County Schools use Fab@School Maker Studio and inexpensive digital cutters as an onramp to support design-thinking activities aligned with state standards. Hear from teachers and students in grades three to seven, see how they use these tools in their classrooms, and walk away with inspiring inquiry-based learning projects you can replicate. From designing and fabricating 3D geometric shapes and constructions to creating artifacts for storytelling, these projects showcase students and teacher creativity and address standards in math, language arts, engineering, and other subject areas.
