The method of repair/prevention of refractories of converters called Slag Splashing has operational aspects such as lance height (DBL), flow of nitrogen blow, static or moving lance, and geometric aspects such as number of lance holes, hole angle, dimensions of the converter, which must be controlled for their highest efficiency. Cold studies carried out, considering a converter with a nominal capacity of 340 tons of the company Ternium Brasil. For the effectiveness Slag Splashing process to be implant procedures for lance movement ("io-iƓ" effect) that project slag in the most worn areas.
