BOF Processing by a Static and Dynamic Model With Automatic EOB Detection: Recent Results (Room 409)

Use of waste gas control to support BOF processing by a combination of a static and dynamic model with automatic EOB detection can be highly beneficial. This, along with established SOPs, allows better turndown results without sublance and are comparable to the results achieved using the sublance (high sublance operational costs can be avoided). The function for automatic EOB detection can be separately supplied if a static (and dynamic) process model is available. Due to stabilized EOB detection, improvement regarding temperature hitting can be expected.
