Come and learn about a new approach to Access Node architecture that promises to streamline operations where MSOs need to deploy a mix of DOCSIS, wireless and fiber access.

Today MSOs have to deploy a physical device per access type where each device requires its own operational processes and vendor ecosystem.

The Generic Access Platform (GAP) is a new modular node design which aggregates a mix of access technologies to be housed in the same physical device.

Intel has developed a proof-of-concept (POC) in which a software based vCCAP and RAN small cell are housed in a single enclosure and dynamically share centralized compute resources.  Such a deployment today would require four individual physical devices while this POC consolidates the functions into one modular GAP node saving time and space while providing flexibility.  In this session, we will review this new architecture including hardware and software components and thermal design.

Join us to hear how GAP with central compute could streamline your mixed access deployments and drive operational efficiency.
