Holocaust survivor Petra Israel Ritchie will describe a program which was financed by the Berlin government she calls “Guilt Trip to Berlin.” For 40 years or so, eight-day, all-expenses-paid trips to Berlin were offered to refugees all over the world who: 1) were born in Berlin, 2) left because of the Nazi threat and, 3) had never been back for a visit. Petra and her daughter were in the next-to-the-last group due to the fact that most of the targeted population had passed away and the funds were also running out.
