Cost Reduction Through Innovative Sheet Metal Design
Sheet metal part design incorporates the effective use of all available manufacturing equipment. It focuses on laser cutting, punching, bending, software, laser welding and conventional welding. Personnel involved in designing, programming, manufacturing or quoting parts using these technologies must understand their equipment capabilities and limitations. Currently this information is not taught at universities and can only be learned on the job. Designing parts without this knowledge prevents machines from being used to their full potential. The goal of this presentation and of formal Sheet Metal Design training is to fill this gap. This presentation will change the way those involved in the design process think about the part from start to finish. Machines and software are the tools to implement design changes. New designs must be innovated by beginning with the end in mind. The end goal is to reduce processes, mistakes, and ultimately costs!

Automated Press Brake Forming
Increased transparency and production through machine monitoring and automation is the hallmark of the new Industry 4.0. Among these innovations through the careful combination of machine tool and automation technology decreased part costs have been achieved by sheet metal fabricators. Automated press brake forming has transformed the bending world and provided many unique benefits. Join us today for a discussion on automated bending and how it can make a positive impact for your shop.
