2018 AFCEA TechNet Augusta Conference and Expo

Track 1: Integrating CEMA into Unified Land Operations, Session 1: "CEMA Integration within Doctrine" (Room Lamar B/C)

The Cyber Center of Excellence continues to develop new doctrine and revise existing doctrine to account for rapid changes in technology, that in turn require updated tactics, techniques, and procedures. Field Manual (FM) 3-12, Cyberspace and Electronic Warfare Operations, published in April 2017, contains the foundational doctrine for CEMA.  FM 3-12 is currently under revision, with changes to doctrine for CEMA based on lessons learned from recent exercises.  Additionally, Army Techniques Publication (ATP) 3-12.1, Cyberspace Electromagnetic Activities Techniques, is under development.  ATP 3-12.1 will provide techniques for planning, integrating, and synchronizing CEMA in operations at echelons corps and below.  Both the revised FM 3-12 and ATP 3-12.1 will align with the new FM 3-0, Operations, and describe how CEMA supports Unified Land Operations. All of these products are developed under the auspices of the Doctrine Branch.
