The Brazilian wind market started with a type of contract called "Contracts for Availability", in which the accounting balances of generation was carried out on a four-year basis, in order to increase the source's competitiveness by allocating the generation risk to the energy distributors. However, due to the high competitiveness achieved by the source at the last Brazilian auction (average price of 22 dollars/MWh), the government decided to start the risk allocation transition from distributors to producers, which will result in an hourly accounting at the end of this transition. Thereby, the determination of the monthly and diurnal generation profile became of fundamental importance when assessing the wind resource of a project. Due to that, the present study aims to propose several ways of determining these profiles, analyzing the pros and cons of each one in a project in advanced stage of development (COD: jun / 19).
