C068 | #LeadHERship: Leadership, Lessons, and Life by Women in Technology (Room Lincoln Road F)

In the 2018 K-12 IT Leadership Survey conducted by the Consortium for School Networking, 70 percent of K-12 technology leaders are male, an increase from 54 percent back in 2015. Only 4 percent of K-12 technology leaders are women in districts with more than 50,000 students. Gender inequities are further compounded by significant racial disparities, as 90 percent of K-12 technology leaders are white. Engage in a conversation with female technology leaders from school districts across the country, including San Francisco and Wake Forest, N.C. Panelists will share their experiences with critical topics impacting leadership, including equity in the workplace, the talent pipeline, leadership and communication styles, and work-life balance.
