Future of EdTech Coach
Agreement is widespread that today’s K-12 students need access to high-quality digital content, tools, and resources to be well-prepared for future success. However, the typical classroom continues to be a contradiction. Investments in technology have changed the way the classroom looks — interactive whiteboards replace chalkboards, student desks include a tablet or laptop alongside pencils and crayons, and high-speed connectivity connections dot ceilings. But the learning experiences of today’s students bear a closer resemblance to that of their parents than most education leaders like to admit. Using current research as the foundation, our panel will examine the issue of teachers’ readiness to adopt/adapt digital tools and what is needed to truly transform today’s classroom.
